Women's History Month

March is Women's History Month, during which individuals and organizations seek to honor the accomplishments of women.

Purpose

To dedicate one month each year to educate the public on the important roles of women in the community by highlighting the historical accomplishments of women.

History

In 2001, WCWI arranged a program on the accomplishment of some of Wyoming's most noted women with Wyoming Public Television.

On-going

Each year, the Council provides Wyoming Public TV and Wyoming Public Radio with historical programs and people to interview regarding the historical roles of women in Wyoming for Women's History Month.
