Wyoming Woman of Distinction
Purpose
Wyoming Woman of Distinction is an annual award given by WCWI. The purpose of the Wyoming Woman of Distinction Award is to recognize one woman each year who has had significant positive impacts on women and families.
After a long hiatus, WCWI again began issuing a Wyoming Woman of Distinction Award, beginning in the year 2000. Past honorees have been:
Nominations
The Wyoming Council for Women’s Issues (WCWI) is now accepting nominations for its 2009 Wyoming Woman of Distinction. Nomination forms are due March 31, 2009. This is a “once in a lifetime” award and any or all of the following attributes should be considered when submitting a name for consideration:
- Nominee should have had an impact on women and/or families in the educational or employment sector.
- Nominee should have had an impact on women and/or families in community outreach.
- Nominee should have had an impact on women and/or families in health and wellness concerns.
- Nominee should have had an impact on women and/or families in legal issues.
