About the WCWI

WCWI Members and Biographies

The Governor, through the boards and commissions application process, appoints all WCWI members to a six-year term. No more than nine members can be from the same political party.

Michelle Aldrich has a BS in Secondary Education and an MS in Home Economics from the University of Wyoming. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in adult education. Michelle is a Family Consumer Science Teacher at Triumph High School teaching 8-12 graders. She also teaches nutrition as adjunct faculty for LCCC--Albany county campus. Currently she serves on the Girl Scout Council of Wyoming Board. She is married and has two daughters.

Kim Capron is the owner of a full service association management company, Association Resources of Wyoming, Inc. A 30 year resident of Wyoming, Kim graduated from Cody High School in 1976 and holds an Associate of Science degree from Northwest College. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Wyoming Association of Non-profit Organizations, and works as support staff and trainer for Northwest College Workforce Development. Kim’s husband Jerry owns a construction company in Cody. They have one son, who will graduate from the University of Wyoming in May, 2006.

Teresa de Groh grew up in a suburb of Chicago. She earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Grinnell College in Iowa and a master's degree in Urban Planning & Public Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Teresa is a homemaker and a planning consultant; she owns her own business, de Groh Consulting LLC. Teresa volunteers as an Emergency Medical Technician in the Jackson Hole Fire/EMS Department and has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Teton Emergency Responders Association. She is married to a Wyoming native and they have a daughter.

Delger, Suzey

Suzey Delger RN, FNP, is the Nursing Coordinator for the Natrona County School District. She graduated as a registered nurse from the University of Wyoming in 1975. She received a Master in Nursing in 1983 and is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Suzey was in the Leadership Wyoming Class of 2006 and became interested in the subject of wage disparity as a result of the group project she was involved with on that team. She is currently on a national cadre of trainers from the National Association of School Nurses and American Psychological Association on how to prevent AIDS among gay and lesbian students. Suzey has presented at many national conferences for school nurses. She is married and has two grown daughters, two scotty dogs, one westie, and one weenie dog!

Downing, Pamela

Pamela Downing was born in Wyoming and raised in eastern Laramie County. She is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Finance and a Masters of Business Administration. She is assistant administrator for the Business Training and Outreach Division within the Department of Workforce Services. Pamela has been an active volunteer in several community activities, most recently as a chair of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure's Wyoming Race for the Cure and as educational chair for the Komen board.

Helzer, Sherrill

Sherrill Helzer is a special education teacher who received her bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana with graduate work at the University of Wyoming. She currently serves as treasurer for the Goshen County Democratic Central Committee. Sherrill is married and has three children.

Jenny Ingram is a program officer at the Wyoming Humanities Council. She holds masters degrees in German and public administration from the University of Wyoming.

Neavill, Maureen

(Johnson, Sheridan Counties)

Maureen is a Wyoming native and a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a double bachelors in Criminal Justice and Social Science (a combo degree of political science and communication). She works for the Prosecuting Attorney in Sheridan County. Maureen is also working on a Masters degree in Social Work. Most of her extended family lives in Sheridan and she is married with two children.

Jan Torres is a full professor of Psychology at Western Wyoming Community College. She received a master's degree in counseling and a bachelor's in psychology from the University of Wyoming. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wyoming and a Nationally Certified Counselor and is very interested in mental health issues. She presently serves on the Southwest Counseling Board of Directors. She is a native of Rock Springs and is married.
